Hey Nick and Rob,

I’ve really enjoyed working with Qck these past few weeks providing support, development and hosting for your growing WordPress client base. It’s been exciting to see how our collaboration has evolved, and I appreciate the trust you’ve placed in me from trusting my recommendations and dev work to using my server environment for staging and even transferring some of your clients over for hosting.

As we discuss a more formal partnership and long-term commitment, I want to ensure that our arrangement continues to be mutually beneficial. Below, I’ve outlined a proposal that takes into account the value I bring through my years of investment in building an intricate WordPress hosting infrastructure and support system, as well as the potential for continued growth as you expand your service offerings.

1. Hosting and Support Services

Given that you are offering a high-ticket service starting at $650 per client per month, and considering the demands of these premium clients, I propose a tiered pricing structure for continued hosting and support services through my infrastructure:

  • $150 per client, per month for hosting and support on my server.
  • This rate reflects the premium nature of the service, my expertise in WordPress optimization, security, and scalability, as well as the proactive support and maintenance I offer to ensure uptime and performance for your clients.

This structure ensures that I am fairly compensated for the infrastructure, time, and expertise I have invested in building a high-quality WordPress hosting environment.

2. Full-time Development and Client Support Role

Regarding the $60,000 per year full-time development role you are offering, I would be excited to come on board and lead the technical development for your WordPress services. This salary is acceptable for my role as a lead developer, where I will oversee:

  • Leading and managing all WordPress development projects,
  • Building a scalable hosting platform for new clients,
  • Collaborating on internal app development where needed,
  • Managing client-facing meetings and discussions related to WordPress services.

3. Commission Structure

I’m pleased with the commission bonuses outlined in your offer, including:

  • 50% of the first month’s client payment for any ongoing monthly WordPress support or SEO retainer I directly refer,
  • 10% commission on one-time clean-up or website development projects I directly refer.

4. Separation of Hosting Services and Salary

To maintain clarity and avoid conflicts, it’s important to separate the full-time developer role from the hosting and support services. These two responsibilities carry different scopes of work and demand different resources. As such, I propose that my hosting services remain separate from the full-time development role. This will allow me to maintain the quality of hosting and support services while performing my duties as the WordPress Development Manager.

5. Health Insurance and Benefits

I appreciate the inclusion of health, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits as part of the offer, as well as the 3 weeks of paid time off and recognition of major US holidays. This is an important part of the offer, and I fully accept the benefits as outlined.

Conclusion

I believe this arrangement fairly compensates both parties for the value provided and sets the stage for a long-term, successful collaboration. I’m confident that with these terms, we can continue to deliver exceptional service to your clients while supporting the growth of your business.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Warm regards,
Brandon
